About

My Jewish Life is a non-denominational Jewish site where all are welcome to interact, regardless of belief, practice, or title. The concept here is to be a blessing to others as well as being blessed by others. No discrimination will be tolerated! If an issue arises that needs to be discussed, please inform me and we will address it appropriately. Likewise, don’t judge anyone, especially on this site.

I will drop a title on you one time in this situation, and I only do so as it is my duty to inform you. I am a Kohen, and as such I am obligated by Hashem to be a teacher of Torah, say blessings over you & to you, among other things, and I feel honored to have such a responsibility. Whether or not being a Kohen means anything specific to you can be discussed. In essence, even though I descend from Aharon haKohen, the entire nation of Yisrael is to be holy and emulate what a Kohen was to truly be. We miss the small intracacies and the beauty within D’var HaShem………”and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation“…..Those are powerful words to live by.

I want you to know that I’m hear for you, in whatever capacity that may be; and I’m just like anyone else in that “I know a lot about some things but not much about a lot of things”. As such, I would like to say that one’s journey in coming close to Hashem is more important than any denominational title that you may associate yourself with; because your journey will take you to the right spot.

Now think for a moment about the words above that the Holy One spoke. Truly, being a priest (Kohen) is not about sacrifices and cool garments; it’s about spiritual purity and piety and the quest to be close to HaShem. For as the pure go, so goes the nation. So instead of hurting each other, lets put our biases aside and be One Family.

With that in mind, please say a prayer for me and remember to support your local Levite.

Please enjoy the site, and this wonderful rendition of Yerushalayim Shel Zahav.

May the L-rd bless and keep you, may the L-rd make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you, may the L-rd lift His presence towards you and give you peace. Amein

Shalom Aleichem,
